Get the facts straight
How are you able to get these discounts?
Spendbase is an official AWS reseller (AWS Solution Provider Program). Your billing runs through us, which lets us aggregate spend across our whole Organization and negotiate volume pricing directly with AWS. We pass those negotiated rates straight through to you, applied to the bill you already pay.
Does joining affect our AWS account or architecture?
No. Joining is a billing-level change only. Your IAM structure, VPCs, services, and deployments remain completely unchanged.
What is the minimum AWS spend to qualify?
The 7% baseline has no minimum. RI/SP requires ≥$2K/mo. Compute bulk buying requires >$10K/mo compute spend. CloudFront private pricing requires >$5K/mo spend on CloudFront specifically.
Can we receive multiple discounts at once?
Yes. The 7% baseline applies from the start; CloudFront and compute discounts stack independently on top of it. EC2 compute bulk buying and RI/SP are competing paths — you receive whichever is higher and we route you to the optimal combination.
How quickly do discounts take effect?
The baseline and RI/SP apply on the next billing cycle after joining. CloudFront and compute bulk buying may have a short activation window. We give you a clear timeline during onboarding.
What’s the difference between compute bulk buying and RI/SP?
Compute bulk buying (up to 45%) is a volume-based negotiated rate on EC2/ECS/Fargate — needs >$10K/mo compute spend. Automated RI/SP (10–30%) configures reservations based on usage patterns — from $2K/mo. They don’t stack; we apply whichever is larger.
Who sends my AWS invoice after we join your organization?
Spendbase does. As your official AWS reseller and reseller of record, we're your billing provider: we cover your AWS usage, apply your discounts, and send you one invoice at the reduced rate. Your account, console, and infrastructure stay exactly the same. The only thing that changes is that you pay us for your usage instead of paying AWS directly.
